UNIQUE FEATURES OF MULTIFRAX®
The laser beam is emitted in sequence of successive spots to form a line of thermal columns. The length of the line can be varied according to the area to be treated, from 2mm to 14mm. The advantage of varying the size of the thermal column line is in the accuracy of the treatment.
Reduced thermal damage
The distance between the thermal micro-columns within the line can be varied from 0.5mm to 2mm. The interval between the coagulation micro-columns determines the thermal damage to the skin. It is possible to choose to carry out a more or less aggressive treatment according to the phototype and the type of pathology.
MultiFrax® can reach a potency of up to 70mJ, but even at lower potencies it effectively treats melasma, actinic keratoses, stretch marks and signs of aging. The compact technology of MultiFrax allows maximum energy to be conveyed without dispersion, thus ensuring performance comparable to the largest laser stations.
From an in-house histological study, the penetration of the laser beam is exactly comparable to that of other non-ablative fractionated lasers. The effect of the thermal micro-columns can be seen deep into the dermis already at 20mJ.
A unique feature of MultiFrax is that it does not require a cooling system, either integrated or external. The energy peak ensures that the shock immediately suffered by the skin is such as to make the treatments absolutely comfortable and does not require the use of contact cooling or devices for cooling the skin.
